Hey Ballers,
Itโs Basti and Benji.
In todayโs game plan, weโve got:
๐ฅ NBA Recaps
๐ BBB Updates
๐ Drill of the Month
Letโs get started!
๐ฅ NBA Recaps ๐ฅ
Free Agency has been going absolutely wild.
Here are the teams with the biggest Ws and toughest Ls:
๐ Rockets
Houston, we DONโT have a problem anymore.
The Rockets just pulled off one of the wildest offseasons in NBA history. ๐คฏ
They landed Kevin Durant in a 7-team mega trade, brought back Clint Capela, added a perfect 3&D vet in Dorian Finney-Smith, and re-signed their young and veteran core.
This squad has length, shooting, and a certified bucket maker in KD.
Houston didnโt just reload - they reloaded with a nuke. ๐ฃ
Title window: wide open
โฐ Nuggets
Denver had one big mission: fix the cap sheet ๐
Shipping out the monster contract of an inconsistent Michael Porter Jr. (who has been wildinโ in podcasts lately) freed up space, and they used it wisely.
They added Cam Johnson, a sniper who fits Jokic perfectly, brought back Bruce Brown, and even snagged Jonas Valanciunas for depth inside.
The champs from 2023 just quietly retooled around Jokic and Murray, and theyโre still scary. ๐ฑ
โต Clippers
The Clippers didnโt just run it back - they doubled down this offseason.
They scooped up Bradley Beal on a bargain 2-year, $11M deal after a buyout, re-signed James Harden, and added veteran role pieces like John Collins, Brook Lopez, and yesโฆ
Chris Paul is BACK!!! ๐คฉ
They might be the oldest team in the league, but theyโre also the most experienced.
With Beal and Harden handling the scoring, Lopez shoring up the paint, and CP3 chasing that ring - this might finally be the year the Clips get over the hump. ๐
๐ BBB Updates ๐
This month has been full of game-changing moves:
๐ 2025 Summer Camp
It's finally happened - we held our first basketball summer camp in Lucerne!
We were pumped to share 3 days of basketball with kids filled with pure joy, new friendships, and growth on and off the court.
The best part?
It was completely free for children during their summer holidays.
On top: We were able to gift the kids with basketballs, tennis balls, and BBB stickers!!
Thank you, City of Lucerne, for helping us make this happen! ๐
๐ป Berlin Gets Free Training
After making it happen in Lucerne, we're now bringing weekly free training to Berlin!
We've partnered with SpOrt365, an amazing organization helping kids stay out of trouble by offering sports and workshops for free.
They're letting us use their courts on weekends to do what we do best.
๐ Ciao Italia
Ready for this?
We're expanding to our third country - Italy
Basti (in charge of our initiatives in Berlin) is heading to Bologna for his Master's, which means BBB is officially expanding.
Don't worry about Berlin though; the free training sessions aren't going anywhere, but we're always looking for volunteers to help coach.
Hit us up if you want to give back 1-2 times per month!
The movement keeps growing.
Next stop: Bologna ๐
๐ Drill of the Month ๐
Drive Like Uncle Drew: 6 Workouts to Master Kyrie's Driving Game
We've all been there:
wide-open fastbreak layup, easy bucket, mind starts racing... clank.
While we can't fix that mental block (just please go take layups until they're automatic), we can help you train like one of the best to ever attack the rim: Kyrie "Mr. Flat Earth" Irving. ๐
Kyrie Irving's otherworldly driving ability comes from mastering multiple skills that work in perfect harmony.
These six workout areas, if worked on continuously, will help you develop the same explosive first step, silky ball control, and creative finishing that make Kyrie nearly impossible to stop in the paint. ๐ชฃ
โนโโ๏ธ Ball Handling: Your mind vs your handles
Grab two basketballs and dribble both while reciting the alphabet backwards.
When your brain is occupied elsewhere, your handles have to become second nature - just like when you're reading defenders in real time.
๐ฆถ Footwork/First Step: Sell the story
Start in triple threat and practice your Oscar-worthy jab step performance before exploding to the rim.
Make that defender believe you're going one way, then leave them in the dust going the other (& finish the layup for even more finishing practice).
โฉ Acceleration: From Zero to Hero
10m suicide sprints from a dead stop basketball stance - no running start allowed.
Those first three steps are everything when you need to blow by your defender.
๐ช Core Strength & Balance: Finish What You Started
Single-leg medicine ball slams while staying low in an athletic stance - knees bent, back straight, ready to move.
You need that rock-solid core when contact comes and you're hanging in mid-air trying to score.
โ Finishing (Simple): Make It Routine
Stand under the basket and shoot continuous layups - right hand from the right side, left hand from the left side, grabbing your own rebounds without dribbling.
Master the basics before you try to get fancy like Uncle Drew.
๐จ Finishing (Advanced): Get Creative Like Kyrie
Set up cones or other obstacles around the basket as "defenders" and practice reverse layups, english finishes, or off-balance layups from every angle.
Learn to finish with both hands while navigating around obstacles - that's pure Kyrie magic.
Quote of the Month
''Excellence is not a singular act, but a habit. You are what you repeatedly do.''
